This is of a fish tank that’s two feet deep filed with water. At each end there is a pipe that draws water up from under the gravel and out back into the tank. The recording is of the water re-entering at each end – the hum (mainly on the left) is the air compressor in the background that supplies the air to the stones that are at the bottom of each pipe.

Also an electric powered fish tank air compressor; it provides air stones in the tank with air that drives water from under the gravel up pipes either side of the tank. It’s supposed to be a quiet device – this is just the sound of the compressor.
