This set comprises of 132 x 24 Bit 44.1 wave files. Each sample has been trimmed so that excess silence has been removed. The samples are clean and dry.

The samples are grouped by head tension, each folder (six in all) contains hits made with fingers, thumb or the flat of the hand. Each sample has a rough indication to its loudness towards the end of the file name ‘after’ the letter ‘V’ in dB – so 0 being the loudest and as the number increases it becomes quieter. The higher the 'tone' of the sample, the closer to the rim, deeper more dull tones come from the flat of the hand or hits towards the centre of the head. The sampled bongos themselves are made of wood with real skin heads that are tuneable.
